A Ten-Minute Weekly Check: Where Is Each Item Live?

# A Ten-Minute Weekly Check: Where Is Each Item Live?

Selling on more than one marketplace creates a question that single-marketplace sellers never ask: where is this item right now? Is it live on all of them, on two of them, or sitting half-finished on one because the upload failed on a Tuesday? A quick weekly check keeps the answer honest and prevents the two expensive mistakes of multi-marketplace selling: the sale that never happened because the item was only live in one place, and the item that sold twice because it stayed up after it was gone.

Here is a check that takes about ten minutes once it becomes a habit.

Start From The Listing, Not The Marketplace

Open your listings in one place and look at each item's marketplace marks. In FlipPress, a listing card shows a check beside each marketplace the item is live on, with the watcher count underneath. Scan for the gaps. An item with marks on two marketplaces when you meant to list on five is a listing that is working at less than half of its reach.

Fix the gaps in a batch. The reason to check weekly is that gaps are cheap to fix one week later and expensive to discover three months later.

Look At The Oldest Live Items First

Sort by the oldest listing date. The items that have been live the longest are the most likely to have drifted: a price that no longer matches the market, a photo set taken before you improved your setup, or a marketplace where the listing quietly expired. Pick a handful each week, refresh what needs it, and move on. Over a quarter the whole catalog gets touched.

Confirm What Sold Is Down Everywhere

A sold item is not finished until its copies are gone from the other marketplaces. If you handle that by hand, make it part of the weekly check: anything marked sold this week should show no live marks anywhere else.

FlipPress does this part for you. When an item sells on one of the marketplaces you connect, it detects the sale and takes the copies down on the others. The weekly check then becomes a confirmation rather than a chore, and the catalog shows the item as sold with the other marks cleared.

Watch The Watchers

The watcher and like counts on each card are a free signal. An item with many watchers and no sale is usually priced a little high, or it needs one better photo. An item with none after a few weeks probably needs a better title. Use the weekly check to pick the two or three items where a small change could turn watchers into a sale, and leave the rest alone.

Do It From Your Phone

The check does not need a desk. Each marketplace mark, each watcher count and each sold status is on the listing card in the FlipPress iPhone app, and you can connect the marketplaces you use from there. Ten minutes on the couch on Sunday is enough.

Keep A One-Line Log

Finish with one line: how many live items, how many gaps fixed, how many sold this week. Over time that log tells you which marketplaces earn their place in your routine and which items were worth cross-listing in the first place. Multi-marketplace selling rewards sellers who know where everything is, and the weekly check is how you keep knowing.
